This is a no reserve penny auction for a US&S / Remington Rand M1911A1 semi-automatic pistol in .45 ACP. Serial number- 958675. This 1911 is in great condition and comes with a Vietnam-era surplus magazine! As stated in the title this 1911 is a mixmaster between a Remington Rand frame and a Union Switch & Signal slide. We have determined this by the frames serial number and inspection mark not falling within the known boundaries of US&S production but that of Remington Rand. Both firearms in their original form are scarce and with this being pieced together, it can be shot and enjoyed! Or, If you have a RR slide and a US&S frame, then this is the 1911 for you! Retains the "P" proofing on the slide and frame. The frame was inspected by Frank J. Atwood and went through a overhaul at Springfield Armory via the crossed cannons mark.
