CIVIL WAR ERA JM Cooper Double Action Pocket
Manufacturer: Cooper
Caliber: .36 Cal
Barrel: 4
Bore Condition: Poor
This is a no reserve penny auction for a Cooper Double Action Pocket revolver in .36 Cal. Serial number- 339. This revolver is in fair condition for its age with all visible serial numbers matching. A combination of rust and patina is present throughout the metal surfaces. As expected with its age, some pitting is seen in the bore. Features include a 5 shot cylinder, octagonal barrel, and wood grips. The J.M. Cooper Double Action Revolver took the concept of the Colt 1849 Pocket Model and improved it by giving it a double action firing mechanism, resulting in their own "Pocket" model.
Please refer to the photos as one of the nipples appears to be cracked, a crack is seen on the right grip panel, the forward corner of the bottom of the frame near the serial number has chipped off, and the hammer will not stay cocked on the second cock position.
