This is an America Remembers Ruger Vaquero Ruger & His Guns Commemorative revolver in .44 Mag. Serial number- 56-34571. This revolver is an officially issued tribute to company founders William Batterman Ruger and Alexander McCormick Sturm and was limited to 400 units. This lovely example appears as-new in the case, the stainless steel surfaces rating excellent showing a light turn ring and the hammer and trigger are gold plated. The surfaces are adorned with light scroll engraving accenting etchings on the barrel and frame. The unfluted cylinder has portraits of Mr. Ruger, Mr. Sturm and the little red barn separated with black Ruger Phoenix on a polished square banner. The barrel has five gold etched copies of the firm's signature firearms such as the GP-100 and Mini-14 to name a few. The right side of the frame has an outline of the three states they manufacture in and left side has "RGR" (New York stock exchange symbol for Ruger), "WBR / C051" on the bottom of the frame, and gold etched picture of a man teaching his son to shoot on the left recoil shield. The top of the backstrap features a black Ruger Phoenix with ''RUGER / THE PROOF / OF QUALITY" and "ARMS MAKERS FOR RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS" down the backstrap. The smooth walnut grips with silver Ruger Phoenix on a red background medallions rate excellent. It is displayed in a French fit green felt lined hardwood display case with sliding draw below.
